A livery cab driver and his passenger left a young woman to die after causing a gruesome T-bone crash in Queens Thursday night, only to be captured moments later by cops, police said.
The 19-year-old hit-and-run cabbie was headed north on Guy R. Brewer Blvd. in a white Mercedes sedan when he barreled through a red light on Archer Ave. minutes after 11 p.m., cops said.
He slammed into a blue Hyundai four-door going east, then bailed out of the wreck with his passenger, also 19, cops said. Police caught up with both men and took them into custody.
Charges against them are pending. The impact killed the Hyundai’s front passenger, a 20-year-old woman, police said. Medics rushed the victim to Jamaica Hospital, but she could not be saved.
