A woman collecting cans in Queens was fatally struck by a vehicle early Thursday, police said.

The victim, believed to be in her 60s, was hit by a black Lexus SUV about 6:20 a.m. on Jamaica Ave and Woodhaven Blvd. in Woodhaven, cops said.


She was rushed to Jamaica Hospital but could not be saved. Cops were working on identifying her.

The driver remained at the scene and faced no immediate charges.
