A taxi fatally mowed down an elderly woman in Nolita on Saturday afternoon, police said.

The woman, whose name was not immediately released, was crossing Broome St. at its intersection with Centre St. at about 4:30 p.m. when the yellow cab struck her.

Officers found the woman lying on the street with a severe head injury, said cops.

She was rushed to New York Presbyterian/Lower Manhattan Hospital, where she was pronounced dead.

The cab driver, 44-year-old Bouchouata Miloudi of Mapleton, Brooklyn, was trying to turn left from Centre St. onto Broome St. when he struck the woman, said cops.

Miloudi was arrested and charged with failure to yield to a pedestrian and failure to exercise due care, said police.
