A hit-and-run driver plowed into a 47-year-old woman on a Queens street corner as her husband and daughter watched on in horror, cops and relatives said Wednesday.
Nabeela Aziz was crossing 64th Ave. near 223rd Place in Oakland Gardens with her husband and child in tow about 11 p.m. Tuesday when a white Dodge Durango making a turn onto the avenue plowed into her.
The person driving the Durango never stopped, her horrified family told CBS2 News Wednesday morning.
“It’s pretty inhumane," said her son Tamoor Tariq as he and his family returned to the scene of the crash to look for a cherished chain that flew off Aziz during the impact. “He hit my mom and just ran off without even checking if she’s fine or not. Didn’t even call the police, he just ran away. So I really do hope they catch him.”
Medics rushed Aziz to North Shore University Hospital with severe head trauma. She remained in critical condition Wednesday morning.
No arrests have been made.
