What you probably missed during the Nets, Sixers scuffle

Benches cleared during the shove match at the Barclays on Saturday, but here’s a few things you probably missed:

1. When “coming to the rescue" goes wrong.

One of the Nets’ coaches face-planted while running to the opposite end of the court to help get Jared Dudley out of the mix. We assume he’s okay because he did get right back up.

2. Forgetting the crowd sits very close to the action.

A father sitting in the first row of court-side seats behind the basket took swift action to move he and his son onto the court, out of the way of the scuffle. Smart move considering most of the carfuffle spread to where the family was sitting. 7-foot ball players versus a child half that in height? Lose-lose situation.

3. Shots taken off the court

During the post game press conference, Joel Embiid joked about the Warriors’ blowing their 3-1 lead in the 2016 NBA Finals.

The Sixers lead the first-round series 3-1 over the Nets.

The teams head back to Philadelphia for Game 5 on Tuesday. If the Nets win, Game 6 will be held back in the Barclays on Thursday.
