One Texas wedding photographer’s services were far from picture-perfect.
Katie Mehta was hired to capture a couple’s big day on Saturday, but instead managed to capture the attention of police, who arrested her for public intoxication after she bedded a guest, peed on a tree and threatened authorities.
Mehta, 26, was booked into the Parker County Jail and charged with public intoxication and obstruction/retaliation, online records show.
The photographer was snapping photos at a wedding celebration in Weatherford, Texas, when members of the wedding party alerted an off-duty sheriff’s deputy working security that Mehta had been found having sex with a male guest, WFAA reports.
She was reportedly warned to knock off the inappropriate behavior, but instead of cooling down, she headed outside and began yelling.
When she was asked to leave, Mehta allegedly made her way to a nearby tree and urinated on it.
Responding officers reportedly noticed that she reeked of alcohol, and found a bottle of prescription Alprazolam, used to treat anxiety and panic disorders, in her jacket.
Mehta was arrested for public drinking, and allegedly spewed threatening messages of violence to the officers as they hauled her away in a patrol car.
“Y’alls’ daughters are dead. Y’all families will be dead by Christmas,” she reportedly screamed. “My dad is going to find out about this, and y’all are (expletive) dead. D-E-A-D.”
She was released from jail Sunday after posting $10,738 bond.
Mehta works professionally as both a photographer and model under the name Max McIntyre. Her Instagram account has more than 14,000 followers.
Meanwhile, her sister told WFAA that Mehta believes her drinks were unknowingly spiked at the wedding.
