Check your phone again, LiAngelo.
There seems to be some miscommunication.
The middle Ball brother said he scheduled a private workout with the Warriors ahead of next month’s NBA draft, according to HoopsHype.
But a spokesperson for the defending champs told The Mercury News that a workout doesn’t exist. Like his outspoken father LaVar, the 19-year-old Ball appears to be all talk.
Ball also alleged that he met with the Thunder and Suns, while lining up interviews with the Clippers and the Lakers, home of older brother Lonzo Ball. None of the other teams he mentioned have yet to comment.
But it’s unlikely he hears his name called at Barclays Center. LiAngelo wasn’t invited to the NBA combine and most mock drafts don’t have him being picked.
That likely won’t discourage Ball, who played professionally in Lithuania last season after leaving UCLA following his arrest for shoplifting during a team trip to China.
