Virginia Lt. Gov. Justin Fairfax seeks $400M in lawsuit against CBS for airing interviews with assault accusers

Virginia Lt. Gov. Justin Fairfax, who’s accused of sexually assaulting two women, has filed a lawsuit against CBS News seeking a whopping $400 million in damages, according to reports.

The network aired interviews last spring with accusers Vanessa Tyson and Meredith Watson, who first made the years-old allegations against him in February.

Fairfax’s lawsuit, filed in federal court on Thursday, accuses CBS of defaming his character and intentionally inflicting emotional distress on him, local station WTKR reported.

“Yes, CBS recklessly disregarded whether what Watson and Tyson were saying was, in fact, true,” the document reportedly states.
