Two pedestrians hospitalized after they are hit with falling bricks in Midtown NYC

Two people were hit by falling bricks from a Midtown building Tuesday, officials said.

A 43-year-old man and a 51-year-old woman were struck on the back of their legs by the bricks, which fell from scaffolding on a building at 25 W. 39th St. near Fifth Ave., a block from Bryant Park.

The man was taken to Bellevue Hospital, while the woman was taken to NYU Langone Health. Both were in stable condition.
