Two North Carolina women have turned themselves in after they were charged with groping a transgender woman in a Raleigh bathroom last month.

Jessica Fowler, 31, and Amber Harrell, 38, were both charged with second-degree kidnapping and sexual battery, according to Wake County police records.

According to an unidentified 911 caller, Fowler and Harrell allegedly approached his friend inside the bathroom at Milk Bar in early December and began talking to her, the News and Observer reported.

Then, he said, one grabbed her genitals and asked if she had a penis.

The other woman then allegedly pulled up her own shirt and asked if the victim wanted to see her breasts.

One also allegedly groped the victim’s buttocks.

The bartender eventually had to step in and tell the women to stop after they left the restroom, according to the caller.

The kidnapping charge stems from a North Carolina statute that considers kidnapping the unlawful confinement or restraint of anyone 16 or older without consent, Raleigh police explained to the Daily News.

Fowler and Harrell allegedly did not allow the victim to leave the restroom.
