Twin babies who were less than a month old died in their Queens apartment Thursday, and authorities are questioning their mother, police sources told the Daily News.
Police and medics found the non-responsive infants, a boy and a girl, inside the family’s Woodside Houses apartment on 51st St. just after 3 p.m.
The twins were 26 days old, police sources said.
The cause of death will be determined by the medical examiner, but at least one of the children looked discolored, sources said. The deaths are considered suspicious.
The mother is being questioned at the 114th Precinct.
Police apparently went to the home after receiving a request for a wellness check from a relative, sources said.
