A massive fire ripped through a Brooklyn home early Thursday, leaving a dozen people hospitalized, officials said.

The blaze erupted inside the home on E. 17th St. near Avenue N in Midwood about 4 a.m. and quickly spread to the two adjoining home, an FDNY spokesman said.

As the fire raged on, more than 170 FDNY firefighters and medics were called in to douse the flames and lend medical assistance.

The fire had reached four alarms before it was brought under control about 7:15 a.m., officials said.

Nine civilians and three firefighters were taken to Maimonides Hospital with serious but non-life threatening injuries.

An investigation into what sparked the fire is underway.
