Maybe not a Hail Mary, but still jaw-dropping.
Long before Trevor Lawrence became an NFL’s GM’s dream, his girlfriend saw a national championship in his future.
“Two more years then you’ll be a National Champ,” Marissa Mowry, an Anderson University soccer player, posted to Instagram in January 2017, when the two were just high school juniors.
Lawrence dismantled Alabama on Monday night and earned offensive MVP en route to fulfilling Mowry’s prophecy.
The quarterback with oodles of blond locks à la Noah Syndergaard finished the game 20-of-32 for 347 yards and three touchdowns to help deliver the Tigers their second title in three years.
“He’s gonna be a legend,” Texans star and fellow letterman Deshaun Watson recently told ESPN.
Maybe Mowry will foresee Trevor Lawrence’s NFL future next — it’s at least two years away, too.
