The first viral trend of 2019 has arrived – and if the fact that it’s 2019 didn’t already make you feel old, it’s sure to do the trick.

If you’ve been on Facebook at all since the clock struck midnight Jan. 1, you’ve probably noticed an increase in the number of fresh-faced photos from the platform’s early days.

That’s all thanks to the “How Hard Did Aging Hit You?” challenge, which asks users to share two photos: one of the very first picture they uploaded to the site, and the other the most recent.

Though it started on Facebook and was initially meant to compare profile pictures, it’s since migrated to other platforms like Twitter and Instagram, and has expanded to any and all old photos.

For millennials, the challenge has been a friendly reminder that puberty sure hits you like a ton of bricks, and that in 10 or so years, a lot can change, like marital status, fashion trends and hairstyles.

For other generations, like the baby boomers, the challenge is proof that the more things seem to change, the more they stay the same – though not in all cases, as some users have taken to showing off things like grandchildren and weight loss.

The challenge comes nearly two years after the so-called “Puberty Challenge” went viral by urging people to share photos of themselves before and after they hit puberty.

Celebrities like Nicole (Snooki) Polizzi have joined in, with the “Jersey Shore” star sharing a photo to Instagram Saturday showing off the dramatic difference in her life a decade later.

Her first photo, from when she was 21, is a shot of her on all fours on the beach, from the day she was arrested for public intoxication.

She compared it to what life looks like in 2019 with a selfie featuring her two children, Giovanna and Lorenzo.

The NYPD’s 19th Precinct even had some fun with it, sharing photos of two officers as children dressed as cops and a current photo of them on the job.
