Texas girl sparks outrage after posting video of her putting dog inside clothes dryer, turning it on

The dog ran away as soon as the dryer was opened.

A teenage girl in Lewisville, Texas, caused outrage on social media by posting a video of herself putting a dog inside a clothes dryer and turning it on.

The dog was checked out by a veterinarian on Tuesday and released back to its owner, CBSDFW reported.

Lewisville Police have identified the girl, but won’t release her name since she’s a teenager and hasn’t been charged.

In a now-deleted Instagram video, the girl said “I’m gonna put his a-- back in the dryer," before calling her dog over.

She then picks the Shih Tzu up and puts it inside the dryer before switching the appliance on. The girl screams as she closes the door and laughs as the dog turns in the machine for several seconds.

She opens the door to reveal the dog in mid-tumble before it scrambles out of the dryer and runs away.

Lewisville Police haven’t released information on the dog’s condition. Once the investigation is complete, it will be handed over to the Denton County District Attorney’s Office for any prosecution.
