A teen trying to brush off a stranger chatting her up as she exited an Upper East Side subway station was raped by him, police said Thursday.
The 19-year-old victim was approached by her attacker, who tried to chat her up, as she left the E. 96th St. station about 7:30 p.m. Sunday, cops said.
He trailed her and pulled her into an area not visible to passers-by near E. 95th St. and 3rd Ave. and raped her, police said.
The victim was hospitalized in stable condition.
Cops released surveillance video of the suspect jumping a turnstile after the incident and asked the public’s help identifying him and tracking him down.
He was wearing a white T-shirt and light-colored shorts.
