The remarkable discovery of Wisconsin teen Jayme Closs has had its share of amazing turns. Here is how it has unfolded so far.

At 1 a.m., Oct. 15, a 911 call made from Denise Closs’ cell phone is placed. A dispatcher heard “a lot of yelling” in the background before the call was dropped.

Minutes later, James Closs, 56, and 46-year-old wife, Denise, employees at a turkey plant, were found shot to death in their Barron, Wis., home. At the time, cops believe their 13-year-old daughter Jayme had been kidnapped.

Hours after the grisly discovery, cops are still canvassing the woods near the crime scene in search of evidence and possibly Jayme. “Every second counts in the case,” a law official said at the time.

The next day, police in Miami tweeted there had been a possible sighting of Jayme at a Miami gas station, but a Wisconsin sheriff doesn’t believe it to be credible.

Also on Oct. 16, Barron County Sheriff Chris Fitzgerald asks the public to provide tips and to report any citizens who are leaving town suddenly.

On Jan. 10, Jayme is found alive in Gordon, Wis., located about 65 miles north of Barron. Police say a citizen phoned in a tip that led to the teen’s discovery. The victim was to be reunited with family members late Thursday.

A press conference regarding the case is scheduled for late Friday morning.
