An NYPD cop accused of ordering a hit on her estranged husband and her boyfriend’s daughter will head to trial in April.
Valerie Cincinelli, 35, has no plans to plead guilty, according to her attorney James Kousouros.
“We have a trial date and we look forward to the facts emerging," Kousouros said following a hearing in Islip Federal Court on Tuesday.
The 12-year veteran of the NYPD was arrested in May on murder-for-hire charges. The feds say they were listening as Cincinelli added her beau’s young girl to her hit list. They also claim to have tricked her into thinking her estranged husband, Isaiah Carvalho Jr. was whacked. Carvalho and Cincinelli are in the midst of divorce and have a 5-year-old son.
Last week Judge Sandra Feuerstein ordered that Cincinelli remain behind bars while awaiting trial. The proceedings start on April 20. She has been suspended from the NYPD without pay.
“The court finds by clear and convincing evidence that defendant poses a danger to the safety of the allegedly intended victims and the community,” Feuerstein wrote.
