Speeding driver runs off after crashing into two vehicles at Queens intersection, leaving his passenger to die

A speeding driver ran off after crashing into two vehicles at a Queens intersection, leaving one of his passengers to die.

The hit-and-run driver was zipping east on Atlantic Ave. in a 2018 Honda Accord when he slammed into a Ford F-150 truck headed south on 111th St. in Richmond Hill just before 1 a.m., officials said.

The Accord continued east on Atlantic Ave., striking a parked Mercedes-Benz GLA 250 SUV.

The heartless driver jumped out of the wrecked Honda and ran off, leaving his three injured passengers behind, witnesses told police.

Medics rushed all three passengers to Jamaica Hospital, where one of them, an unconscious 23-year-old man suffering a severe head injury, died. His name was not immediately released.

The 49-year-old man driving the Ford truck refused medical attention. The 65-year-old woman behind the wheel of the parked Mercedes was taken to Jamaica Hospital with minor injuries, cops said.

Cops were inspecting the Honda and questioning its surviving passengers as they tried to identify the motorist who fled. No arrests have been made.
