A 68-year-old man was critically hurt Sunday in a multi-car crash on the New England Thruway in the Bronx that might have involved a pair of street-racing cars, police said.

A 23-year-old man driving a white BMW coupe and a 31-year-old driving a gray BMW sedan sparked the crash around 7:10 p.m. as they sped north on the Thruway near Bartow Ave., in the Co-op City area, said cops.

The white BMW coupe rear-ended a Kia sedan.

Then the Kia sedan struck a Honda SUV, which in turn slammed into the BMW sedan, said cops.
