The murder of a Staten Island father — who was knifed in a fight over a woman — has been solved, police said.

Jahmel Russell, 27, was arrested Tuesday for stabbing 42-year-old Filroy Warner in a third-floor apartment on Navy Pier Court near Front St. in Stapleton last Wednesday, cops said.

Warner was sliced six times in the chest and arms during the 11:40 p.m. attack, police said. He was rushed to Richmond University Medical Center, where he died.

NYPD Chief of Detectives Dermot Shea said Thursday that two men and a woman were in the apartment when an argument started over the woman.

Russell, who lives in the flat where the crime occurred, is charged with murder and weapons possession.
