Slain Manhattan woman found in blood-filled bathtub, cops looking for her boyfriend

Crime scene tape

A Manhattan woman shot in the head was found lying in her bathtub covered in blood — and cops are looking to question her longtime boyfriend, police said.

Cops found Ramona Rodriguez-Reynoso, 50, in the tub of her sixth-floor W. 167th St. apartment near Audubon Ave. around 10 p.m. Friday. She was pronounced dead at the scene.

The tub was filled with blood, a police source said. The victim’s head wound was so severe that cops first thought she was attacked with a machete, a second source said.

Rodriguez-Reynoso’s boyfriend is being sought for questioning. He was not at the apartment when police arrived.

Neighbors said the couple had been together for 30 years and have two children together.

“It’s unbelievable,” said one neighbor who wished not to be named. “They were a happy couple for many years. Then they weren’t together.”

Rodriguez-Reynoso worked for NewYork-Presbyterian Columbia University Irving Medical Center near her home, the neighbor said.
