At least five students and one employee were killed Wednesday when two masked men opened fire inside a school in Brazil, according to media reports.
Two shooters also injured several others before killing themselves, the newspaper O Globo reported.
The shooting took place in a public school in Suzano, a city in the São Paulo metro area, about 9:30 a.m., local time.
The governor of the state, João Doria, confirmed the attack on Twitter.
“I have just received the sad news that children were cruelly murdered at Professor Raul Brasil state school, in Suzano,” he wrote.
