Police say suspected killer in Bronx double shooting may have fled the state

Police on Friday released surveillance video and a photo of a suspect they believe may have fled the state after fatally shooting two men in the Bronx last month.

The accused killer, Harry Behlin, may have run to New Jersey, Pennsylvania or Ohio after shooting the two victims on Aug. 11 behind a public housing building on White Plains Road near Adee Ave., cops said.

Behlin, 46, was arguing with the victims, Kevin Dillard and Arnelle Branch, before he pulled out a gun a little before midnight, police said.

Dillard, 21, was shot in the neck and Branch, 17, was blasted in the stomach. Both men were taken to Jacobi Medical Center where they died.

The surveillance video released Friday shows Behlin running into a Bronx building and walking out in different clothing. Police were able to identify the man after several witnesses recognized him from the clip.

Police sources say Behlin has a long criminal history.

Anyone with information is urged to call Crime Stoppers at 1 (800) 577-TIPS.
