Passenger on American Airlines flight claims he was on cocaine, seen smoking joint as plane is diverted: report

An American Airlines flight was forced into an unscheduled landing on Friday after a “disruptive” passenger claimed he was on cocaine and was seen smoking marijuana, according to TMZ.

The man, who was not identified, reportedly slugged another passenger after the Phoenix-to-Minneapolis flight was diverted to Denver.

Video obtained by the gossip website shows some of the man’s disturbing behavior after the plane was on the ground. After claiming to be on cocaine during the flight, he was seen lighting a joint.

"Take it off, it hurts. I'll f--king kill you!" he said after being handcuffed by police on the ground, according to TMZ.

American Airlines said in a statement to the Daily News that the flight was diverted "due to a disruptive passenger. Law enforcement met the flight, and the aircraft re-departed.”

The passenger who was taken off the plane would be hospitalized and was not slapped with charges, according to TMZ.
