One man is dead and another clinging to life after they were struck in separate hit-and-runs less than an hour apart in Queens early Sunday, police said.
The first victim, believed to be in his 40s, was hit by a gray Nissan Altima as he crossed Northern Blvd. in the crosswalk at 101st St. in Corona about 12:50 a.m., police said. Medics rushed him to New York-Presbyterian Queens in critical condition.
The victim did not have the right of way when he was struck by the car headed east on Northern Blvd., according to cops.
Just 45 minutes, a 23-year-old man was fatally struck as he walked in the right southbound lane of Laurelton Parkway near 130th Ave. in Laurelton, cops said. Cops found the victim lying on the roadway. He died at the scene.
Cops are searching for a grey Dodge Charger based on debris they found strewn across the parkway, sources said.
