An off-duty FDNY firefighter was busted after he grabbed his girlfriend by the face and threw her to the floor of his Brooklyn home, cops said Wednesday.

Nelson Merizalde was arrested after a heated argument with his 37-year-old sweetheart turned violent in his Coney Island home around 11:30 p.m. Tuesday, police said. As the fight escalated, Merizalde, 43, allegedly grabbed the woman’s face and shoved her to the floor.

The victim was treated for pain and swelling but not hospitalized.

Merizalde was charged with assault and was awaiting arraignment Wednesday in Brooklyn Criminal Court.
