Talk about a mic drop.

Nicki Minaj took to Twitter Thursday with a devastating message for her 20.5 million followers.

“I’ve decided to retire & have my family,” Minaj, 36, wrote. “I know you guys are happy now. To my fans, keep reppin me, do it til da death of me. X in the box- cuz ain’t nobody checkin me. Love you for LIFE."

If she is indeed retired, Minaj’s fans will have to deal with the Queens-raised “Anaconda” artist trading in her microphone for domesticity and diaper bags.

Ardent fans of Minaj, born Onika Tanya Maraj, have been ready for a big announcement since earlier this year, mainly regarding her relationship with boyfriend and registered sex offender Kenneth “Zoo” Petty. He was convicted in 1995 of attempted rape.

In July, Minaj fed the rumor mill with her verse on Chance the Rapper’s “Zanies and Fools,” in which she raps, “He the Clyde to my Bonnie, 'bout to walk down the aisle and be a mommy.”

Though Minaj confirmed in June that she and Petty have a marriage license, she had only hinted (albeit multiple times) to a baby prior to Thursday’s tweet.
