
A New Jersey man was charged Thursday with the murder of his younger brother, sister-in-law, niece and nephew – and setting a fire to cover his tracks.
Paul Caneiro, 51, is accused of killing brother Keith, 50, Jennifer Caneiro, 45, and their kids, Jessie, 11, and Sophia, 8. Cops found the bodies Nov. 20 after they were called to their $1.5 million Colt’s Neck mansion on a report of a fire.
Keith Caneiro was found outside the home with a gunshot would to his head.
Monmouth County prosecutors have scheduled an 11 a.m. press conference Thursday to discuss the charges.
Paul Caneiro was also charged with possession of a firearm and illegal weapons possession.He allegedly set his own home ablaze in Ocean Township with his wife and two daughters inside. They got away unharmed.
The motive in the case remains unknown.
Funeral services for the family are slated for Sunday at a funeral home in Holmdel.
