This police chase had all the elements – except clothes.
A naked motorist led cops on a wild, wrong-way pursuit through parts of Delaware and Pennsylvania on Wednesday before he was apprehended.
Kyle Merena, 29, was driving south in the northbound lanes of I-95 near Wilmington when state police officers attempted to intervene.
Merena refused to stop, and he continued to drive his SUV the wrong way until it entered a service plaza. The vehicle turned around and drove north in the northbound lanes for a time, according to the Delaware State Police.
However, after hitting heavy traffic, he crossed the median and started driving north in the southbound lanes. Merena crossed the state line into Pennsylvania, and eventually collided with a Pennsylvania State Police vehicle near Philadelphia International Airport.
Merena was taken into custody following a brief pursuit on foot. He was not wearing any clothes, according to authorities.
He is facing multiple charges, including reckless endangerment and disregarding a police officer’s signal. He was taken to a hospital for observation.
