Two D.C. VIPs have RSVP’ed to attend Michael Cohen’s public hearing in February.
Stormy Daniels, who was allegedly paid $130,000 by Donald Trump’s former lawyer to keep silent on her alleged affair with Trump in 2006, and her attorney, Michael Avenatti, said they will be in attendance at the highly anticipated event.
“I am pleased to announce that @Stormy Daniels and I will attend the congressional hearing when Cohen testifies,” Avenatti tweeted Friday. “Which is only appropriate seeing as it would have never happened but for Stormy Daniels.”
Avenatti called his attendance appropriate because Cohen testimony’s directly related to Daniels.
The former Trump attorney claims he made the secret payment to Daniels during his client’s 2016 presidential campaign.
Facing campaign finance violations, Trump has downplayed the payment.
