Authorities in Georgia are hunting for a gunman who killed four people and injured one more during two separate shootings Thursday night.
The Georgia Bureau of Investigation on Friday said 27-year-old Daylon Delon Gamble is wanted for fatally shooting two men and two women at two different locations in Rockmart.
The first incident occurred around 8 p.m. outside a home on Williamson street, where they discovered the first two victims dead and another person suffering from a gunshot wound, according to a GBI press release. Authorities just moments later were called to a second location a few blocks away on Rome street, where two more victims were found with fatal gunshot wounds.
The person injured in the initial shooting was airlifted to Atlanta Medical Center and is being treated for his injuries. The details on his condition have not been released.
Gamble allegedly fled the second crime scene in a stolen Ford Truck which was later recovered by police in Bartow County.
He remained on the run a day after the shooting, sparking a manhunt spanning multiple law enforcement agencies including the GBI, the FBI, the Rockmart, Polk County, and Cartersville police departments as well as Bartow County Sheriff’s Office and the U.S. Marshal Services.
Police suspect the shootings are connected but have not released a motive in the attacks.
Authorities believe Gamble to be “armed and very dangerous” and asked anyone with information on his whereabouts are asked to contact the Rockmart Police Department
