Man wanted for groping 82-year-old NYC woman after walking into her unlocked Lower East Side apartment

An intruder walked into an elderly woman’s unlocked lower Manhattan apartment, then groped her and touched himself before running off, police said Thursday.

The suspect entered the 82-year-old victim’s apartment in the Rutgers Houses on Rutgers and Monroe streets on the Lower East Side at about 6 p.m. Tuesday, and found her in the bathroom, cops said.

He grabbed her by the neck, groped one of her breasts and started touching his own genitals, police said.

Police released photos of the suspect, who they describe as a black man in his 20 or 30s, wearing a red do-rag, a red Nike red hoodie and dark shorts.

Cops ask anyone with information to call Crime Stoppers at (800) 577-TIPS.
