A deranged driver who refused to comply with a simple traffic stop in Inwood early Sunday spun his car in wild backwards donuts before leading cops on a wrong-way chase up the Henry Hudson Parkway, officials said.
Cops pulled over George Lopez, 27, at Dyckman St. and Payson Ave. about 4 a.m. after they spotted him driving erratically.
Lopez, who cops say does not have a license, wouldn’t get out of the car or even roll down his window.
When cops tried to physically remove him from his Sienna, he revved it up and spun it in several reverse circles, crashing into multiple police and civilian cars, as captured in a cell phone video posted to social media and quickly viewed more than 17,000 times.
Lopez zoomed onto the Henry Hudson Parkway headed uptown — but in the southbound lanes. Miraculously, he made it to the Bronx without colliding with another car, officials said.
Police followed Lopez all the way — sirens blaring — and finally grabbed him at the Mosholu exit ramp after he hit a parked car.
Medics took Lopez, who lives in Washington Heights, to St. Barnabas Hospital.
He was charged with reckless endangerment, leaving the scene of an accident, operating a motor vehicle while impaired by drugs, reckless driving and driving without a license.
