Lizzo is thrilled about Barack Obama putting her on his summer playlist
This certainly hit a high note for Lizzo.
The singer was thrilled Saturday after Barack Obama included her hit “Juice” on his and Michelle Obama’s 2019 summer playlist.
Lizzo, 31, had tweeted earlier in the day that Obama was the “first President I could ever vote for.”
“I TWEETED THIS AT 10:26AM AND ONE HOUR LATER PRESIDENT @BarackObama TWEETED ABOUT ME!!!” Lizzo wrote on Twitter, sharing screen grabs of her earlier tweet and of the former president’s playlist. “WE’RE FRIENDS W I DONT MAKE THE RULES!!!”

Lizzo’s song was one of 40 tracks that Obama included in the playlist, which he shares annually.
Other songs on the list include “Too Good” by Drake and Rihanna, “Brown Eyed Girl” by Van Morrison, "Señorita" by Shawn Mendes and Camila Cabello and “Old Town Road (Remix)” by Lil Nas X and Billy Ray Cyrus.
Lizzo, whose hits also include “Truth Hurts” and “Cuz I Love You,” wrote in her initial tweet about voting for Obama that she was “so proud of my right to vote.”
“I will never take it for granted,” she tweeted. “I love us. I’m not sure who I’m voting for yet, but it for damn sure isn’t Trump.”
