New Jersey is bracing for a Trump sighting — and it’s going to be huuuuuge.
While the President is expected to be visiting his Bedminster, N.J., golf course this weekend, activists will be sporting a Baby Trump balloon in protest.
The 20-foot-high float, which was designed to resemble a roly-poly, childlike Trump — replete with diaper and shock of blond hair — greeted Trump at many different locales in July during his United Kingdom visit.
The balloon is expected to be inflated Sunday morning at a South Orange Maplewood public event.
“He’s going to be sitting down and relaxing as an observer of the street fair that’s happening Sunday, Jim Girvan, a Baby Trump Tour organizer, told NJ Advance Media on Friday.
In all, six Trump balloons were constructed to protest the President’s policies. Despite spending very little time in London, where his favorability levels are particularly low, activists managed to employ a Baby Trump near the site at nearly each locale Trump visited.
A second balloon was shipped to Florida during a Puerto Rico rally last weekend, said Girvan. Other balloons will likely be delivered to Los Angeles, Chicago and Wilmington, N.C., he told NJ Advance Media.
“Hopefully, Mr Trump will have the chance to see (the balloon) when he’s playing golf,” Girvan quipped.
