James Dolan — well, his MSG posse — bans Knicks fans left and right.
But how would the thin-skinned owner react to the Garden crowd wearing shirts pleading the he sell the franchise.
For now, we won’t find out.
Madison Square Garden security reportedly confiscated green shirts emblazoned with the phrase, “St. Patty says Ban Dolan,” ahead of the woebegone Sunday afternoon matchup between the Knicks and Lakers.
Just like last Saturday when a fan gently ordered Dolan to end the city’s misery and abandon the team, the security apparently cleaned up the mess this time around, too.
“They took from 2 of us and a 3rd put his in his pocket,” one fan wrote Saturday on Twitter. “@TheGarden security tracked and followed him through scanning and made him open his jacket to prove he threw it away. Then made another guard pick it out of the garbage to prove it.”
Dolan has a history of punishing those who challenge his being.
It’s unclear if Dolan was made aware of the shirts Saturday.
