TV host Joy Behar once dressed as a “beautiful African woman” using makeup she described as “a little bit darker than my skin,” a recently resurfaced video shows.

The clip shows Behar on a 2016 episode of her talk show “The View” reflecting on what she wore to a Halloween party when she was 29, and her fellow panelist Raven-Symoné remarking she looks black.

“I went as a beautiful African woman,” Behar, now 76, says in the video, which was shared in a tweet by The Wrap media editor Jon Levine.

Behar then says the curly hair in the photo was really her hair, and Raven asks if she was wearing tanning lotion.

“I had makeup that was a little bit darker than my skin,” Behar said.

A photo of Behar in the Halloween outfit was shown on-screen during the segment.

Reps for Behar and “The View,” which airs on ABC, did not immediately respond to a request for comment.

The reemergence of the video comes days after the surfacing of a photo of Virginia governor Ralph Northam’s 1984 yearbook page showing one person in blackface and another dressed as a member of the Ku Klux Klan. He has denied being either of the people in the photo but admitted he darkened his face to dress as Michael Jackson that year.

Then on Wednesday, Virginia Attorney General admitted to wearing “brown makeup” to dress as rapper Kurtis Blow in 1980, when he was 19.

Megyn Kelly was fired from her hosting gig on “Megyn Kelly Today” last year after she questioned why it was offensive to wear blackface as part of a Halloween costume.
