Jets star ups recruiting campaign during Chiefs-Colts playoff game

Don’t tell Jamal Adams the holidays are over, for his Jets wish list only continues to grow.

And if you’ve ever played football, chances are you’re on it. (Kidding, sort of.)

“Yeah I like #55 Dee Ford off that end for us! Let's pay him what he wants!” Adams posted to Twitter after the linebacker notched a strip sack en route to the Chiefs’ 31-13 shattering of the Colts.

Adams has been brazen in his attempt to land more “dawgs” on One Jets Drive, from Antonio Brown and Le’Veon Bell to Ford, as Gang Green gets set to swim in $100 million of cap space.

Ford could command a big chunk of that after turning his contract year into a potential pay day.

The former first-rounder, 27, set career-highs in just about every category this season, including sacks (13), forced fumbles (7) and tackles for loss (13). Kansas City could place a franchise tag on Ford and pay him about $17 million next season.

“We need more players,” Adams said after his team’s season-ending loss to the Patriots. “We need more dawgs.

Ford certainly fits the bill as Adams, along with fellow recruiter Sam Darnold, can only hope the Chiefs standout was checking his Twitter timeline after the big win.
