Jerry Jones loves the Giants, Odell Beckham head-scratcher

March 17, 2019

It’s likely he’ll never see Odell Beckham Jr. force his team into the wrong side of a highlight package again.

For that, Jerry Jones is beyond exuberant.

“Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!” the 76-year-old told Fox on Saturday when asked about the Giants, Browns offseason blockbuster.

The Cowboys of course suffered Beckham’s first sensational NFL one-handed grab in 2014, and while Jones’ team still won the affair, 31-28, the still image of a rookie No. 13 laying out for the catch seen around the world remains ingrained in the minds of football fans everywhere.

Beckham, dealt to the renaissance Browns last week, burned Dallas for 61 passes for 732 yards and six touchdowns in seven games (3-4), according to Pro Football Reference.

Jones may also be just as amused watching the Giants in no man’s land.

While his Cowboys aim to build off an NFC East first-place finish, Big Blue continues to pull off curious moves, perpetually stuck between a rebuilding and contending aspirations.
