You’ll want to shout “Dracarys” when lighting the candles on this cake.
In a nod to Mother of Dragons Daenerys Targaryen, a “Game of Thrones”-themed dragon egg cake is now available in New York City just in time for this Sunday’s series finale of HBO’s epic fantasy show.
The layer cake shaped like a dragon egg stands 7 inches tall, can feed eight people and features silvery blue scales. Sold at NY Cake Cafe in Chelsea, the mythical sweet doesn’t come cheap. It’ll set you back $125 and customers must order by this Saturday at 7 p.m. to have it ready for pick-up on Sunday.
The confection can either be made with vanilla cake with chocolate ganache or chocolate cake with chocolate ganache, depending on the buyer’s preference. Fans can order the cake in-person at the Manhattan flagship store (118 W. 22nd St.) or call the shop at 212-675-2253.
Season 8 of “Game of Thrones," which is the final season, concludes with this Sunday’s episode, airing at 9 p.m. The show that debuted in 2011 and is based on the best-selling book series by George R.R. Martin follows several families as they battle it out to sit on the Iron Throne.
