Watch out for subway service changes if you’re taking the train Sunday. The L is only making a few stops in Brooklyn — between Canarsie and Broadway Junction. The Q is running between 96th St. and Barclays Center, and then is switching to the D track to and from Stillwell Ave. The M does have special service between Metropolitan Ave. and 96th St.

Two lanes of the Manhattan Bridge’s Manhattan-bound lower roadway are subject to closure Monday 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. One lane of the roadway is closed 24/7, and one additional lane at a time will be closed on different parts of the bridge at those times Monday. The Williamsburg Bridge will also have single-lane closures in different areas between 10 a.m. and 3 p.m. Monday to Friday, so the Brooklyn Bridge will be your best bet to Manhattan Monday.

The Westminster Kennel Club Dog Show will be at Madison Square Garden 7:30 p.m. Monday and 7 p.m. Tuesday. There are also daytime dog events both days at Piers 92 and 94 by the West Side Highway and 54th St.

MSG also has the Rangers and Toronto at 7 p.m. Sunday, the Knicks and 76ers at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, and Billy Joel at 8 p.m. Thursday

Bronx drivers will get a Valentine’s Day present starting around 5 a.m. Thursday when the westbound Bruckner’s exit ramp to the RFK Bridge is scheduled to open fully after five months when only one lane was open.

Find out when this year’s Gridlock Alert Days are by ordering the FREE Gridlock Sam Parking Calendar. Send checks for postage and handling fees ($4 for one, $5 for five, and $6 for 10) to 322 8th Ave., 5th Floor, New York, NY 10001.

Mailbag:

Dear Gridlock Sam,

Is it a moving violation if you’re caught driving with an expired registration sticker? What if you have a valid sticker but you hadn’t displayed it yet?

Jim

Dear Jim,

Yes, it is considered a moving violation. If you did have the valid registration, I suggest mailing in a copy of the new registration sticker and an explanation to show that your vehicle was indeed up to date on its registration when the summons was issued. It’s not a guaranteed dismissal, but the judge might be more lenient if he or she sees that you’ve taken care of the issue.
