Police on Tuesday arrested a Brooklyn man they say murdered his girlfriend over a decade ago, authorities said.

Julius Esquilin, 36, was grabbed at his home on Patchen Ave. at 5:30 a.m. after he was linked to the death of his girlfriend Desiree Coffield, who was killed back in 2005.

Investigators charged Esquilin with murder. His arraignment was pending at Brooklyn Criminal Court Tuesday afternoon.

Police said Coffield’s body was found sprawled out on the sofa inside her Greene Ave. apartment in Bedford Stuyvesant about 1:50 a.m. on Feb. 19, 2005.

She had been shot in the head, cops said.

Esquilin had long been considered a suspect in Coffield’s death, but detectives hadn’t been able to pin the crime on him until recently, sources said.
