Talk about a sting operation.

Police in Germany busted a fugitive Monday thanks to a swarm of aggressive wasps who helped them chase the suspect into a pool.

Officers had gone to the man’s home in the northwest city of Oldenburg to serve an arrest warrant when he jumped from his balcony and fell into a wasps nest, German authorities said in a news release.

The 32-year-old man, whose name was not released, was set to begin an 11-month prison sentence, according to the statement.

Police said he ran to the street and tried to break away from the furious insects when some of the wasps attacked the two officers who were trying to catch him.

The man stormed into a neighbor’s yard and jumped into an inflatable pool, where cops found him, authorities said.

The suspect was taken to prison and treated for his injuries there. The two officers, who were stung in the upper body and face, were treated at a hospital.
