The ladies of “Friends” were not on a break this weekend.
The seemingly ageless trio was “doin’” really well when they joined forces Saturday to celebrate the one with the birthday: Monica, sorry, Courteney Cox.
“How lucky am I to celebrate my birthday with these two???” Cox, 55, captioned her selfie with Jennifer Aniston (Rachel), 50, and Lisa Kudrow (Phoebe). “I love you girls. So much,” she finished with a heart.
Kudrow responded, “LOVE you girls! Happy happy Court,” and even followed up with her own post.
The black-and-white selfie showed Kudrow and Cox under a teary-eyed filter with virtual mascara running down their cheeks.
“Just remembering Court, I will ALWAYS be older than you,” Kudrow, 56 in July, wrote. “HAPPY BIRTHDAY lovely Courteney!!”
“Only wiser my sweet,” Cox wrote back. “Never older. I love you.”
Fans had a great time seeing their favorite ladies back together a few months ahead of the show’s 25th anniversary, and they commented on both posts with bawling emojis.
Aniston breathed new life into fans’ hopes for an official “Friends” reunion when she spoke to Ellen DeGeneres earlier in the month.
“Anything can happen,” Aniston said. “The girls would do it and the boys would do it, I’m sure.”
Series creator Marta Kauffman quickly dashed these dreams though when she said, “Nope,” saying to AP, “Why mess up a good thing? We wouldn’t want a reunion to disappoint fans.”
