It’s the most turbulent time of the year.
Black Friday bargain-hunting erupted into violence at several stores across the country, with the mayhem beginning on Thanksgiving.
Things went to pot at a Walmart in Rockmart, Georgia Thursday when two women brawled over discounted pots and pans.
While one woman lay on the floor clutching a box, another hovered over her trying to rip it out of her hands while thrashing her body against the ground, it appears from a video posted to Facebook by a user named Kaitlin Bires.
“First fight of the night. Pioneer Women pots and pans are no joke,” Bires posted, along with hashtags for “blackfriday,” “walmartfight” and “overpotsandpans.”
What’s worse, other shoppers appeared not to help, either smiling or snagging sets for themselves while passing boxes over the woman on the floor.
At another Walmart, on the other side of the country in Palmdale, CA, just north of Los Angeles, a Thursday night fight broke out between two groups of customers, the Los Angeles Times reported.
It was unclear what they were brawling about, but the beef, which began inside the store at around 6:30 p.m., then continued outside. One entrance to the store was temporarily closed, according to the newspaper.
Among other videos that emerged Friday, one showed a horde of shoppers attacking a stack of flatscreen TVs. When one genius pulled out a TV box from the bottom, the row piled on top toppled down. But that didn’t stop other patrons from grabbing the possibly damaged products.
