A former EMT and volunteer firefighter from New Jersey who enticed a 12-year-old boy into taking nude photos will spend 11 years in federal prison.

Zachary Motta was 21 years old when he started chatting with his pre-teen victim on Facebook in October 2016, sending him pictures of himself in his EMT and firefighter uniforms, and bragging about responding to 911 calls.

Motta, who lives in Iselin, worked at a hospital in New Brunswick and served in the Iselin Volunteer Fire Company.

He then started asking the boy for pictures, “U know nude pics of u. Just don’t get caught.”

The boy did as Motta asked, and when his mom found out, she called the police.

Motta, now 24, was sentenced Tuesday to 135 months behind bars and five years of supervised release. Motta, who pleaded guilty in January, must also pay a $5,000 Justice for Victims of Trafficking Act assessment.
