Former Disney star Bella Thorne to receive Pornhub Award for adult film debut

She’s definitely all grown up now.

Former Disney star Bella Thorne will be honored with the Vision Award for her Pornhub directorial debut at the second annual Pornhub Awards Show at the Orpheum Theatre in Los Angeles on Oct. 11.

Thorne’s film, “Her & Him,” described as “an ethereal Romeo and Juliet-themed tale,” premiered at the Oldenburgh Film Festival in Germany earlier this month. Currently available on Pornhub Premium, the film stars well-known adult entertainment actors Abella Danger and Small Hands while featuring music from Thorne’s ex-boyfriend and rapper Mod Sun.

"I'm honored to receive this award," the “Shake It Up” actress said in a statement. "I'm excited for visions of beauty like this to be shed in a new light. Breaking the taboo of what's classified as beautiful has always been a vision of mine and it brings me such joy to see this being recognized for what it truly is... beautiful visionary art."

Earlier this year Thorne, 21, joined forces with the adult entertainment streaming giant to create the third installment of its Visionary Director’s Series. The initiative started last year and “features debut films by unexpected guest directors in an effort to diversify porn production and help create more varied content.”

"It was a pleasure working alongside Bella to debut her film, Her & Him, as part of our Visionary Director’s Series and help create genre-defying content that will appeal to our fast-growing — and increasingly diverse — audience,” Pornhub veep Corey Price said. “We’re excited to honor her at our upcoming awards show on October 11 and to present her with the prestigious Vision Award.”

Brooklyn rapper Young M.A kicked off the Visionary Director’s Series with her film “The Gift” last year. She was the first mainstream artist to direct an adult film for Pornhub and garnered the Visionary Award at the inaugural Pornhub Awards in 2018.
