Fatal stabbing of Brooklyn man by his own brother sparked by quarrel over cellphone: police sources

The fatal stabbing of a Brooklyn man by his own brother was sparked by an argument over a cell phone, police said Monday.

Andre Lee, 36, was allegedly stabbed by brother Almond Love, 40, inside their apartment on Ocean Ave. near Avenue J in Midwood, police said.

The siblings were arguing over a cellphone, police said.

Police responding to a 911 call at 5:15 p.m. Sunday found Lee with a stab wound to his chest.

EMTs rushed him to New York Community Hospital but he could not be saved.

Love was charged with murder and weapons possession. He has a history of mental illness and was recently released from a psychiatric ward, sources said.

There is a history of domestic violence at the apartment, police said.
