An ex-Ohio middle school teacher convicted of sexual battery of an eighth-grader was sentenced to prison Tuesday.
Montgomery County Judge Timothy O’Connell sentenced Jessica Langford to one year in prison and five years of probation. She will serve time at the Ohio Reformatory for Women, according to the Dayton Daily News.
Langford, 32, was found guilty of three counts of sexual battery in April.
She was accused of engaging in sex with a 14-year-old boy, who wasn’t her student, at Miamisburg Middle School on May 23, 2017.
The teen, now 15, testified in court that Langford arranged their meeting, brought him doughnuts and then started kissing him before engaging in sexual intercourse for nearly 30 minutes in a classroom, according to the newspaper.
After the incident, the principal knocked on the door. Langford told the student to “stick to the story” that he was stacking chairs in the classroom, the teen testified.
